Lamka, Aug 15, 2010: Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) HQ Manipur held its “37th Annual Conference-cum-Meritorious Award Distribution” on August 13, 2010 at Synod Hall, IB Road, Lamka. MDC Chairman Langkhanpau Guite graced the function as chief guest. B. Zodingliana, MDC as the Special Guest and VL Kroshnehzova, President, MZP Gen HQ (Aizawl) observed the function as Functional President. Meritorious Award was distributed to 42 first divisions & ablove from class X, XII, Graduate & PG. Ms Thari Sitkil, IRS; Elizabeth Lianthangkimi, BA(Gen) Topper Manipur; V.Zathang, IPS, ADGP and Haokholal Thangjom, Adviser, MZP (M) were awarded an Outstanding Award of the student body.
Chief Guest Langkhanpau Guite expressed his gratitude to MZP GHQ Mizoram for stretching their helping hands while Manipur was facing shortage of all commodities due to economic blockade imposed by the Naga people.
The congregation elected Mr Lalawmpuia to be the President, MZP (M) GHQ for the term 2010-12, P. Gouminlian was elected as the Vice President and Thangtinthuom for the Treasurer post.
