Subject : Notification for Recruitment of Constable in Indo-Tibetan Police Force
Madam,
With due respect, we would like to draw your kind attention with regard to advertisement for recruitment of Constable (General Duty) Group 'C' Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force bearing DAVP No 19112/11/0105/1011.
For your kind reference, Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) is the umbrella students organisation of Mizo ethnic group representing the students and younger generation of Mizo living in and outside Mizoram.
That Madam, in the advertisement for recruitment of Indo-Tibetan Police Force all the states and Union Territories in India, except Mizoram are allotted quota. We are shocked by this exclusion.
In the opinion of MZP, if Mizoram is considered as part of Indian territory there should not be such discrimination and exclusion; and the government of India should clarify its position in this regard with an acceptable urgency.
MZP also decided to burn the said advertisement in protest of violations of the rights of the people of Mizoram unless clarification or rectification is made by the government of India before the last date for submission of application for the said recruiment.
